Perfectly spiffing time at

La ‘Casa Vechia’-’Grey Lady’

shindig with the 1920’s All Star Murder Mystery, led by the fabulous Laura Collins.

Incredible hi jinks, murder and mayhem in tinsel town, no less!!!

Fortunately, we had our own star of stage, and silver-screen, Hannah Gray with us, escorted by film-backer and Biggin Hill International Airport Ace, Colin Hitchens.

Our dear Peter Giblin, never one for a small part, accompanied us as production lawyer and muscleman.

I say, watch out, Johnny Weissmuller, Tarzan lookalike has looks and brains !

Thanks sooo much for agreeing to this.. feedback was great!!

A capacity crowd arrived with anticipation and excitement for the All Star  Murder Mystery Afternoon Tea. We were not disappointed.

Greeted with drinks in the rounded, at 3 pm sharp, we were shown to our beautifully decorated tables in The Bar Lounge.

The Oast Catering ladies, all suitably dressed in period maid costumes were on hand to serve us the most delicious sandwiches and cakes.

While we were enjoying our tea, the main characters in the mystery entered the lounge. Dressed in regency costumes they mingled with the ‘audience’ engaging in general chitchat. We were then introduce to ‘Cassandra’, the Jane Austin narrator and so the mystery unfolded.

Each character beautifully portrayed by Laura Collins and her team of actors re-laid their involvement in the story. Their dialogue had twists and turns that kept us enthralled in the mystery.

Was it the lover? / or was it the Butler? / was it the lady of the manor? / was it her daughter still in love with her old boyfriend? / was it the family friend who seemed to have connections with all the characters? Or was it the narrator herself !!!

Each table was asked to put forward their name for the murderer.

Enough to say there were several suggestions.

Congratulations must go to The Sociable Committee, and all involved in the production. The excellent repast, the superb acting skills and the sheer enthusiasm and involvement of the members who attended the event.

Looks like a great evening

I did hear police cars about 10:30pm last night so I hope they caught the murderer in the act

We had a wonderful evening, the food was delicious, the company was fascinating and the murder was unscrupulous and treacherous.

We loved it !

Thank you from Caroline, she was just full of praise saying that she had been to several events like this before, but ours was OUTSTANDING !!!

Thank you so much to you all for a really fun Regency Tea.

We didn’t quite know what to expect so it was a very enjoyable surprise and the tea, both sandwiches and cakes, was lovely.

Miss Austen would have approved.
